Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are between you and NextStep Clients, a sole proprietorship based in Alabama, operating as ShopGridd ("ShopGridd," "we," "us"). By creating an account, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't create an account or use ShopGridd.
1. What ShopGridd Is
ShopGridd is a business management tool for mobile and independent mechanics: organizing customers, scheduling jobs, tracking a team, tracking money, and connecting members to hand off work to each other. It is a tool you use to run your own business. It does not run your business for you, and it does not guarantee you any particular amount of work, revenue, or customers.
2. Your Account
- You must give accurate information when you sign up, and keep your password to yourself. You're responsible for anything that happens under your account, including anything your own staff logins do.
- You must be running a real business, or preparing to, to use ShopGridd. It isn't for personal use.
- We can suspend or close an account that abuses the platform, abuses another member, submits fraudulent information, or doesn't pay.
3. Trial, Pricing & Payment
- New accounts get a free trial. After the trial, continuing to use ShopGridd requires payment at the rate shown to you at signup or since communicated to you.
- Payment is handled by Stripe. ShopGridd never sees or stores your card number. Stripe's own terms apply to the payment itself.
- Refunds: once your trial ends and you're charged, that charge is final. There are no refunds for a billing period already paid. You can cancel any time to stop future charges.
- We can change pricing going forward. Existing members get advance notice before a price change takes effect on their account.
4. Data You Put Into ShopGridd
- You stay the owner of your own business data and the data on your own customers that you enter, jobs, notes, pricing, whatever you type in.
- You're the one responsible for how you collected that data and for having the right to enter it into a system like this in the first place, the same way you'd be responsible for it in a paper notebook or a spreadsheet.
- See the Privacy Policy for exactly how ShopGridd stores, uses, and protects that data, including who at ShopGridd can see it.
5. The Mechanic Network & Hand Offs
- ShopGridd lets you offer a job to another member and lets them accept or decline it. Accepting a hand off is a decision between the two businesses involved, not something ShopGridd arranges, guarantees, or is a party to.
- Once accepted, the details you had on that customer are copied to the other business so they can do the work. What they charge, how they do the work, and whether they're any good is between you, them, and the customer, not ShopGridd's responsibility.
- ShopGridd is not responsible for a percentage, a payment, or an agreement made between two members about a hand off job. That's on you two to work out and honor.
6. Numbers, Estimates & Reports
The analytics, reports, averages, and totals ShopGridd shows you (visit counts, conversion rates, seasonal trends, earnings summaries) are built from the data in your own account and from general usage patterns. They're estimates meant to help you spot trends, not audited or guaranteed accurate figures. Don't rely on them as your only source for taxes, accounting, or legal purposes, keep your own real records too.
7. What We Don't Guarantee (As-Is)
ShopGridd is provided "as is." We don't guarantee it will be available every minute of every day, free of bugs, or that it will meet every need your business has. We work to keep it reliable, but things can break, and beta features especially can change or be removed.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows: ShopGridd, its operator, and NextStep Clients are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (like lost profit or a lost customer) arising from your use of ShopGridd. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid ShopGridd in the 3 months before the claim arose, or $100, whichever is greater.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability where the law doesn't allow it to be limited.
9. Ending Your Account
You can stop using ShopGridd and cancel at any time. We can suspend or end an account for violating these Terms, non-payment, or abuse of another member. Either way, you can request a full backup of your own data before it's removed, see the Download Backup option in your dashboard.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as ShopGridd grows. If a change is significant, we'll let existing members know before it takes effect. Continuing to use ShopGridd after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, without regard to conflict of law rules.
